OLLI’s Special Interest Groups (SIGs) typically evolve from courses whose participants decide to continue meeting on a regular basis to further pursue their area of study or interest. SIGs are open to all OLLI members who wish to join. Inquiries about a SIG should be directed to the contact listed in each description below. Be sure to contact OLLI if you have any suggestions for a group of special interest to you!
The Knitting Group meets every Thursday at 1 p.m. unless the campus is closed. All levels of knitting and crochet are welcome. This group is very informal but does send out a weekly reminder to those who regularly attend. Sometimes only two people come, other times there can be as many as ten or twelve! They typically meet in the Pullo Family Performing Arts Center. Inquiries can be directed to Judy Leece at email@example.com.
The Mahjong group meets every Wednesday afternoon from 1:00-3:00 p.m. at the Galleria Shopping Mall food court. All levels of play are welcome. Open to anyone that knows the basics and is willing to learn. Inquiries can be directed to Becky Senft, firstname.lastname@example.org.
This is one of our newest SIGs, having just begun in summer 2019. Inquiries can be directed to Phil Shar at email@example.com.
This is another new SIG in summer 2019. Inquiries can be directed to Pat McGrath, firstname.lastname@example.org.
